Montreal, Quebec, Monday, June 15, 2009 – During the Association des professionnels de la communication et du marketing’s summer classic event, a silent auction was held to benefit the volunteer support service for communications professionals Bénévolat d’entraide aux communicateurs (BEC) during which the works for the advertising industry calendar were auctioned as large reproductions on canvas.
The 13 works auctioned to benefit the BEC brought in almost $5,000. There was also a special auction of a hockey stick and jersey signed by Montreal Canadiens players. The canvas for December alone, created by Draft FCB and popular at the auction, sold for $575. At the event, the BEC petanque team, made up of Stéphanie Gaucher (Capital-Image), Tina Fournier Ouellet (Capital-Image) and Dominique Villeneuve (BEC), showed their athletic ability and won the tournament!
